The Friends of the W.G. Rhea Library operate a bookstore, located inside the Library. The bookstore contains approximately 25,000 books roughly sorted by categories. All books are priced inside the first page of the book. The prices range from $.25 to $3.00 with few books above the $3.00 range. We have a large variety of books, magazines, DVD
’s, and CD’s to choose from.
Since the opening of the bookstore, over $175,000 has been raised to support thelibrary. This money has been used to buy a variety of different books, visual reading equipment, furniture and established a summer reading program.
Looking for a good place to recycle your used books? Book donations are welcome. Bring your donations to the Library, a cart is available in the main Library. The Friends Bookstore is happy to accept donations of slightly used and new books, children’s materials, music, CD’s, DVD’s, magazines, paperbacks, and if you are not sure just ask. The Librarian will sort through the donated materials and selects books that are needed and useful to the Library and the remaining ones are then given to the bookstore to sort, price and place on the shelves to sell in the Bookstore. If you need a receipt, your donation must be verified by a library staff member before you leave.
